名片是不是一个废物？
当所有项目几乎都要在微信上沟通的时代，一个当代人还需要名片吗？从传统意义上来讲似乎不需要。
那么名片的价值在哪里？作为平面设计的一个大类，名片为什么还需要存在，掏出手机扫一扫不要太方便。为了满足客户爸爸？好的好的，这个理由实在说的过去，再讲下去就互相需要一个抱抱了。不过这样的话，一个功能性上不需要存在的东西，实际上不就是一个废物吗？
我们在想怎么让名片不成为社交过程中的一个废物。我们该如何强化名片在“递出”这个行为发生时的事件性？怎么让他变成话题？怎么让名片本身成为事件的中心？让客户哇的一声叫出来吧。至少也要说一句“蛮特别哦”。
经常在网上看到一些酷酷的名片，但是不知道他们的效果是怎么做出来的，拿去给印刷厂，对方又会开一个高价来打发你，难道我们要买一台100年前的海德堡手工印刷机才行吗？我们要用方便买得到的材料来实现这件事。
我们试着拆分自己作为一家小公司 / 设计公司 / 穷公司 / 大家都想有个名片的公司，应该怎么把名片这件事儿做了，做好看点、节约成本、避免浪费、做好玩了。
我们来看看这名片是怎么做的。

SURE Card is our own business card.
We tried to make a business card(that’s not so trash) from the respects of usage scenarios, team size, production budget, environment-friendliness(for real), entertainment and the requirement of looking dope since we are a design company.

Is business card a kind of trash?
Living in a time when almost everything is discussed on WeChat, does a modern person need a business card? Seems not really speaking from a traditional point.
Then what’s the value of a business card? As a big category of graphic artistic design, why is business card still existing? Because it’ way easier to just take out our phone and scan. To satisfy our clients? OK, we will settle with this reason. If we continue the topic then I’m not going to be the only one who needs a hug. In this case, a thing that’s no longer needed for its function is a trash, isn’t it?
We are thinking about that how to stop that from happening in the social process. How to reinforce the eventuality when the “passing” of the business card is happening? How to make it a hot topic? How to make business card itself the center of an event? Better make the clients drop a few jaws, but at least get a few “this is interesting”.
We often see some really cool business card on line but we have no idea that how didi they make that. When we take it to the printing factory they will just chase you away with a high price. Do we have to buy a Heidelberg manual printing machine from 100 years ago? We have to make it happen with some materials which is easy to get.
We tried to break ourselves down into a small company/ a design company/ a poor company/ a company where everyone wants a business card. The problem is that how to make it happen, how to make it pretty, how to save the cost, how to avoid wasting and how to make it fun.
Here’s how we made the business card.

我们尽力去实现了名片的滚边漆，这一版我们用的是荧光橙。这个工艺在印刷厂制作成本比较高，因此给每个员工单人化定制很不划算，因此我们决定让纸行开了一些名片大小的卡纸，然后我们自己印制名片。
We tried to realize the piping painting of the card and in this edition we used fluorescence orange. This technique cost much in a printing factory so it’s not reasonable to make it customized for each person. So we decided to get a bunch of business-card-sized cardboard and do th eprinting ourselves.
材料清单：一次性手套、名片纸、两块硬质夹板、水性喷漆、木工钳2个、自带墨印章2个、一些用来铺垫的废报纸。
List of materials: disposable gloves, cardboard, two pieces of hard splint, water-based paint, two carpentry pliers, 2 inked stamps, and some old newspaper for bedding.
我们用的名片纸是650g的云素纸，你也可以用你喜欢的纸，用厚一些的纸容易出效果，上色也不容易内渗造成污染。把一沓纸墩成一个方块，越整齐越好，这样喷色后的废品率会降低。
The cardboard we used was 650-gram Yunsu paper. You can also use what you like but thicker paper tends to be more effective. When it is colored, thicker paper is not liable to infiltrate and cause pollution. I recommend that we make a stack of paper into a square, the neater the better, so that the scrap rate will be reduced in the wake of color spraying.
用两块夹板把名片夹住，我们是让标识厂开了两块名片大小的1cm厚的亚克力板，你也可以用任何硬质的板比如钢板或者铝板。硬质、不变形的板都可以，但切记不要用玻璃，一切脆质的都不可以。两块木板也可以，但是接触面必须要平而且他不能变形。或者……你也可以没有这两块板，直接压在你的纸上，不过接触的那几张因为木工钳强压力造成的变形，就没法用了。
Then we will clamp business cards with two pieces of splint, which are two acrylic sheets each with a centimeter thick we asked the logo factory to provide. You can also use any hard plates, such as the steel plate or aluminum plate. Hard plates with shape intention can serve the purpose, but remember not to use glass. Because all brittle materials are not allowed. Two wooden boards are acceptable, but the contact surface must be flat and it cannot be deformed. Or… without these two boards, you can also let the machine press directly on your paper, but a couple of contacted cardboards will be deformed by the strong pressure of the woodworking plier, which cannot be used.
用木工钳像这样把一沓名片固定住，拧到差不多紧就好，太过用力亚克力板会裂开，没有力气就让男（女）朋友代劳吧。木工钳在五金店都有售，买个合适的大小就好。
Fix a stack of business cards with woodworking pliers like this and screw them tight in a moderate manner. If the force is excessive, the acrylic board will crack. If you have no strength, let your boyfriend (or girlfriend) do it for you. Woodworking pliers are sold in hardware stores. Just buy a suitable one.
喷漆味道很大，最好找个户外环境喷色，一般的喷漆都可以，用你喜欢的颜色吧。记得喷漆范围内要铺好遮盖物，这个颜色可是很难洗的。可不要把公共环境破坏了。喷漆口不需要离得太近，30公分以上比较好控制。多练习几次吧。
As the spray paint is very smelly, you’d better do spray coloring outdoors. Ordinary spray paint is available. Just use your favorite color. Remember to cover the painting area because this pigment is very difficult to wash off. Don't spoil our public environment. It is not necessarily that the spray nozzle is too close to the items and the 30-centimetre distance is easy to control. Please practice a few more times.
几个面都均匀的喷上，然后放在通风的地方晾上几个小时。
Spray evenly on several surfaces, and then air them in a well-ventilated place for a couple of hours.
等完全干透之后，就可以取下来了。
When they become completely dry, you can take it down.
为了节省印刷费，我们在淘宝定制了一个自带墨印章，这一面可以刻上你们的logo，然后对准（我们也习惯故意不对准）名片，印上你的logo。这是一个公用的印章，一个就够。
In order to save printing costs, we customized a self-contained ink seal on Taobao website, which can be engraved with your own logo in the front side, and then angle (we are also accustomed to deliberately not angling) towards the business card to print your logo. This is a common seal so one is enough.
我们给每一个同事制作了一个印章，上面有他的名片信息。考虑到很多同事其实并不需要发多少名片，那么他需要名片的时候可随用随盖。
We made a seal for every colleague with his business card information on it. Considering that many colleagues don't need to give out many business cards, they can use his seal to print whenever they need.
这样，我们只要有一批公用的、喷好色和盖好公司章的卡纸备用，去见客户的时候就一起咔咔咔的盖自己的名片。用多少盖多少。不会浪费。这样每个同事都可以用上装逼的名片、节省了成本、又不会有浪费。
In this way, as long as we have a batch of public sprayed cards, which are stamped with our company’s seal, we will seal our business cards together when we are prepared to meet our clients. Seal as many as you need so that no waste will be caused. As a result, each colleague can use the high-end business card , which is beneficial for saving the cost and eliminating the waste.
印的有些歪歪扭扭的，有些地方墨不匀称？有什么关系呢，这可是手工名片啊，尽管故意印几张歪的吧！
It doesn’t matter that some of printings are printed crooked or some of the ink is not symmetrical. They are handmade business cards. Just print some crooked ones as you like!

这样算下来，我们的名片成本是工厂印刷的1/4不到，穷也是一种生产力啊。
This way, the cost of our business cards is less than one quarter of that of factory printing. Poverty can also serve as a kind of productivity.
特注：荧光漆在酒吧的夜灯之下是很blingbling的，去酒吧happy的时候拿出来给好朋友（妹子）炫耀一下吧。
PS: Fluorescent paint is extremely shining(or blingbling) in the night light of the bar. Take your business card out to show off to your friends (or to beautiful girls) by the time you go to the bar to have a happy time.
